/ STORY

Amanda and Richard, two souls who call New York City home and share a special bond with London – where work brings them frequently throughout the year – chose to celebrate their wedding in the English capital with their very closest family and friends from the U.S.

On day one, we welcomed guests at a chic, food-led London pub in the heart of Mayfair, where colourful design details paid a gentle nod to the 70s aesthetics the couple love. With their appreciation for all things classic, guests enjoyed timeless Martinis, oysters, and a selection of delicious pub dishes. The evening concluded with touching speeches, an open bar of signature cocktails, and a lively DJ set.

In the days leading up to the weekend, Amanda and Richard stayed at Claridge’s in Mayfair before heading to Syon Park, their wedding venue, where they enjoyed a relaxed getting-ready session with friends and family. (Syon Park is one of the last private "country" residences in London. Owned by the hereditary Dukes of Northumberland, it has been in the family's possession since it was acquired in 1594 and is now the family's London residence.)

Strings and a breathtaking installation of fresh florals welcomed guests into the ceremony space at Syon Park, setting a romantic and thoughtful tone for what was to come. We kept the symbolic Jewish ceremony simple yet intentional, with personal readings and close family delivering the seven blessings, before the couple smashed the glass.

The cocktail hour featured a chic swing band, canapés, signature cocktails, and artfully personal design details, including photographs of parents and grandparents who had been married before.

To reach dinner, guests strolled through the beautiful grounds of the estate, culminating at the Conservatory. (The Great Conservatory, completed in 1830, originally housed the Duke of Northumberland's rare tropical plant collection. While its purpose has evolved over time, it remains a working conservatory, showcasing an impressive display of exotic trees and flowers.)

Amanda and Richard’s dinner wish came true when they first saw the setup: a single long table dressed in a sumptuous chocolate-brown velvet cloth, adorned with over one hundred candles and the same gorgeous flowers and tones that had featured earlier in the day. Guests enjoyed a two-course sharing meal of Ottolenghi-inspired dishes, a cuisine close to Amanda’s heart.

Once dinner concluded, guests were gently guided to the cactus wing, where an ice cream resembling cake, a dessert grazing table, and authentic Cuban cigar rollers awaited.

The party unfolded beneath the stunning glass dome of the Conservatory, where a high-energy soul band performed the couple’s favourite songs, followed by a carefully curated DJ set and the finest evening cocktails.

/ KIND WORDS

“If you're lucky enough to have Anné as your planner, you can rest assured that your wedding will be nothing short of magical. She has an incredible design eye — every element she touches feels elevated, intentional and deeply personal. From the very first meeting, she understood our vision even better than we did and brought it to life with grace and artistry. Her calm presence and effortless organisation made the entire process seamless. Every guest commented on how beautiful and special the day was, and that’s all thanks to Anné. We truly couldn’t imagine our wedding without her.”
