My design-led approach to planning meaningful and effortlessly chic weddings and events

Defining the Essence

Before we dive into planning and design, we define the desired tone of the day or weekend.

What kind of experience or energy are you after? How do you want to feel? How do you want your guests to feel? Once we answer these questions, decisions about the type of venue, flow, entertainment, and design fall into place almost naturally.

Project Management

My priority is for you to fully enjoy the planning process while feeling heard, supported, and confident every step of the way. I achieve this through careful listening, clear communication, honest and heartfelt advice, transparent budgeting and tried-and-tested workflows. Tasks are tackled in a structured manner, moving from big to small within each supplier category, so nothing ever feels overwhelming.

As a former senior project manager in media production and now a weddings and events planner of eight years, bringing briefs and visions to life is second nature to me.

Guest Experience

At HILDE, guest experience is at the heart of everything and begins long before the wedding day. It encompasses what a guest sees, hears and interacts with – from the moment they receive the save-the-date until they leave the celebration.

Leading up to the event, I ensure clear guidance and seamless navigation, so guests feel considered and at ease, knowing the celebration is designed with their comfort and enjoyment in mind.

During the event, I focus on the “little luxuries” that really elevate the day – excellent service, seamless transitions, and effortless logistics. Guests never wait unnecessarily, feel comfortable throughout, and move through the celebration with the sense that every detail and every person is cared for.

Beyond crafting the foundation of the day, I love creating design moments that delight and surprise. From distinctive ceremony and cocktail hour setups to beautifully presented dessert tables, thoughtfully lit after-parties, and charming entertainment, every element is curated with the utmost care

Design & Creative Direction

My design work is my signature and the reason many of my clients are drawn to HILDE. While I remain aware of current influences, I don’t chase trends. Instead, I focus on what resonates most and craft a design concept that reflects you – as individuals and as a couple – with uniqueness and personality at its heart.

With an instinctive eye for composition, a love of unexpected ideas, and a keen sense of what works, I collaborate with an ever-growing network of the finest design suppliers and artists across the UK and beyond. Every event is only as exceptional as the people who pour their hearts into it, and I ensure that every hand involved shares that same passion and dedication.

Blending Cultures

As a German living in the UK and married to a wonderful British-Chinese man, I understand the importance of blending cultural traditions with care and respect. Over the years, I’ve had the honour of creating a wide range of cross-cultural weddings, which I adore – from Turkish-Bosnian and Japanese-German to Chinese-American, Indian-British, Persian-British, Australian-British, and many more.

Collaboration

For me, collaboration is about open communication, mutual respect, and shared creativity. I love taking the time to truly get to know a couple, working together on ideas, and experiencing that magical moment when everything just clicks. The best events happen when all of these elements come together naturally.
