A three-day wedding at Masseria Calderisi in Puglia, which saw guests flying in from California and New York, to enjoy the best food, a never-ending feeling of hospitality and pure joy everywhere you looked.
Aubrey & Ben’s destination wedding in Puglia was a beautiful build-up of energy, starting with a pizza welcome dinner under the stars on day one.
The welcome evening wanted to radiate warmth and easiness, with fresh pizzas, antipasti and wine served to family and friends. We added little touches such as dried chillies to the wedding design, a nod to the couple’s love for everything spicy. The yellow accents, cacti and burnt grasses tied in with the Puglian landscape, climate and their life in LA together.
Day two was spent by the beach, to get everyone really comfortable and close before the wedding on day three. We served fresh fish and sea food from the BBQ, the music was pumping and drinks were flowing. Private vans were hired to transport guests throughout the day.
On day three, Aubrey & Ben’s ceremony took place in the olive grove at Masseria Calderisi. The heart of the ceremony was the ‘Chuppah’ in beautiful burnt tones, brought to life by floral designer Fluida. The wedding dinner was a mixed affair of the traditional Puglian food stalls and a sit-down dinner.
We designed the whole wedding day and dinner tables around the Masseria’s gorgeous features and the famous olive tree in the Piazza. Throughout the creative planning process, we were driven by the question of what a ‘warm, chic yet lighthearted wedding day’ in the Puglian countryside would look like – the result was a day that merged beautifully with the surroundings and Aubrey & Ben’s personal aesthetics.
