Gill & Tom’s Tuscany wedding story, funnily enough, began in Puglia. After spending a few days there together visiting beautiful venues and meeting suppliers, the couple realised something was missing. Back home in Canada, with time to reflect, it became clear what they truly wanted: a multi-day European wedding surrounded by lush green landscapes, rolling hills, and the warm terracotta tones of Tuscany. Just three months later, we visited Florence, fell in love with the region, and booked their chic Tuscany venue straight away.
From there, everything fell into place naturally, shaping what their three-day celebration would look and feel like.
On day one, we welcomed guests with authentic Tuscan platters, cured meats, and freshly baked breads, served family style. The design drew inspiration from the couple’s love of sunny yellow hues and lighthearted accents, while floral designer Fluida wove her magic through artful table and bar arrangements – each ingredient echoing the golden light of late summer and the surrounding Tuscan landscape.
Day two, the wedding day, began with a slow morning by the pool, followed by the couple and their closest friends preparing for the day ahead, sharing laughter and gentle moments.
The ceremony took place against the backdrop of centuries-old walls, beautifully dressed with some of Gill’s favourite flowers and local artichokes. Afterward, guests were welcomed poolside with cocktails and Spritzes, served alongside a grazing table of the finest Tuscan produce. A singing guitarist serenaded everyone to dinner just as the sun began to set, unveiling Gill and Tom’s Tuscan dinner of dreams – a truly proud moment. The red tablecloths and wrought-iron chairs were perfectly fitting, while the florals and candles tied everything together into a warm, inviting affair. Following heartfelt speeches, the celebration continued back inside, with everyone dancing late into the night.
On day three, guests returned to La Pescaia for a relaxed farewell afternoon, enjoying pizza, ice cream, and a last Spritz by the pool.
