A chic autumn wedding in the heart of London Clerkenwell, with the finest drink and Michelin-starred food ‘on tap’ all day.

Sophie & Sam’s symbolic ceremony and wedding reception took place at one of my favourite venues of all time. The Old Sessions House in London, where history meets current days and new ideas.

We kept the ceremony uncomplicated and natural – it was all about letting the space do the talking. Drinks and canapés were served on the roof, overlooking the city. Later the dinner took place at Sessions Arts Club, where head chef Florence Knight created the most beautiful autumnal menu.

The dinner design was a mix of city chic and old world. We used gold to add warmth and pops of pastels and lilac, to show off Sophie’s favourite palette. The name cards were designed to resemble skyscrapers in NYC, on one of which the couple got engaged. The cracks on the invitations were a nod to the venue’s old and unfinished walls.

‘We wanted to say an enormous thank you for everything that you have done to make our day so perfect.

I keep alternating between smiling and crying today. Everything looked out of this world and was the perfect compliment to the venue. We are truly grateful for your perseverance, for asking us all of the detailed questions and for making our day better than we could have imagined it.

Love, Sophie & Sam’
