HILDE IS THE WORK OF ME, ANNÉ LADEGAST-CHIU.

My roots lie in the German countryside by the Baltic Sea, and together with my husband of ten years, Rob, I cherish a life that blends nature with London’s cultural diversity; embracing the best of both worlds. Gwenni, our darling tortoiseshell cat, has us wonderfully well trained and remains the best rushed decision we ever made. We adore her endlessly.

When I’m not planning beautiful celebrations, you’ll find me outdoors gardening, hiking or skiing, where I’m just as happy as I am in an art gallery, boutique hotel or at a day spa. I’m naturally drawn to quality over quantity, bold interiors, low lighting, texture, colour and really good food. 

Beyond life’s tangible luxuries, it’s the quieter, heartfelt moments I treasure most: the sound and smell of the sea, laughter with friends gathered around a table, and thoughtful words or gestures when least expected.

It was my love of hosting and looking after people, combined with a lifelong passion for all things beautifully organised, that inspired the launch of HILDE in 2017. The name is a tribute to my Oma (grandmother) Hilde, whose legendary gatherings in the garden of her home I remember with such fondness.
